IT Help Desk - $14/hr

Kick off your IT career with Manpower! We are currently recruiting for an experienced Information Technology help desk associate in the Mid Valley area. Comfortable work environment in a smaller customer service center with a business casual dress code. Starting pay rate is $14/hour. Two shifts are available: Mon to Fri: 2pm - 10pm Mon, Thurs, Fri: 1pm-9pm and Sat and Sun 2pm-10pm Job Description: -Handle inbound support calls and e-mails. -Proactively make outbound calls and create outgoing e-mail messages as necessary. -Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving capability. -Accurately gather problem information via phone, email and remote connectivity. -Document and track incident histories, issues and actionable steps taken. -Identify solutions to work around pending issues / problems that are under investigation. -Resolve problems/complaints concerning any Online Center issues, Web Based Course/Tutoring Products, Browser/Internet related questions, Retail Book questions, and other student service issues. -Escalate issues to appropriate queues and resources as required and provide feedback and suggestions to Management team. -Possess a platform-independent mentality toward learning support for new and emerging technologies that the company may adopt in the future. -Keep documentation of support policies and procedures current, and create new documentation when needed. -Work on assigned projects/tasks as assigned by the management and team leader. -Perform other duties related to those enumerated above as needed. Requirements: -Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience -Comfortable with various browser configurations and troubleshooting Internet related issues -Knowledgeable on how to install, remove, and configure Flash and Java applications on PC and MAC platforms -Contact Center experience a plus Educational verification, criminal background checks and drug screening required.
