With a mission to preserve, protect and inspire, Grand Teton Lodge Company is the concessioner in Grand Teton National Park operating the lodging, restaurants, tours and activities at Jackson Lake Lodge, Jenny Lake Lodge, Colter Bay Village, Jenny Lake and Gros Ventre campgrounds and resorts as well as the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club, which is located just outside the park in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Flagg Ranch Company, also a Vail Resorts concessioner, operates the Headwaters Lodge & Cabins as well as the campground at Flagg Ranch.



Drive buses in a defensive and courteous manner, never abusing equipment, and handling tickets and luggage for guests. As the transportation schedule operates from approximately 6:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. daily, drivers will be expected to work short, long, and split shifts, also floating days off are required to meet guests requirements. Additionally, each driver is issued a company phone, is expected to answer that phone, and must be flexible to changes in shift schedules accordingly to call in needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Drivers will be required to learn interpretive narration for Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Wildlife Tours, and special charters.
  • Drivers are mandated to hold a commercial driver license, and fully comply with all standards and procedures to maintain license and clean driving record.
  • Drive bus where and when designated by the manager.
  • Obey all laws of the highway and drive in a defensive manner.
  • Fill out daily reports and notify the manager of any bus difficulties.
  • Drive extra charters and activities when needed.
  • Check oil, water, tires and general condition before and after each run and wash and maintain bus cleanliness.
  • No buses in employee villages without special permission.
  • Never abuse company equipment in any manner, and be sure your passengers obey this rule also.
  • Sweep and clean out buses after each completed run.
  • Log hours as required by law when traveling outside of 150 air-miles from the Jackson Lake Lodge or leaving the state of Wyoming (i.e. Idaho).
  • Assist passengers to ensure they are properly seated
  • Handles passenger emergencies and disruptions
  • Must be flexible in scheduling as fixed hours and days off are unlikely
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2 years prior experience in heavy equipment driving, preferably large bus or semi-truck
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B with air brake and passenger endorsement (obtained at own expense)
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Current Medical Examination Report (valid for 2 years)
  • Pre-employment drug screen and random drug/alcohol testing as required by state and federal law
  • Clean driving record

  • Knowledge of Grand Teton National Park
