Mechanical Assembler - Full-time / Part-time

Our new company is looking for a mechanical technician for a contract. This is a mechanical technician/assembly position and DOES include welding. Only candidates with both mechanical assembly and welding experience can be considered.

Pay: $15-$20 DOE

Schedule: 7-3pm Monday - Friday (occassional overtime on Saturdays (negotiable))

This is estimated to be a 2 month contract.

This position will be in the production area of the company

Duties include:

• Performs a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
• Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, plastic welding and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules following established processes and procedures with minimum supervision
• Works in a team environment, with English as the primary language written and spoken.

Minimum requirements:

• Ability to use and familiarity with assembly and measuring tools
• Ability to perform simple shop math
• Ability to read blue prints, schematics, engineering drawings or work instructions
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining thoroughness, accuracy and attention on details
• Ability to understand and apply written or verbal instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced unstructured environment.
• Ability to read and write and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to work in a non-smoking environment.
• The position requires working with electrical equipment using appropriate safety procedures.
• The position requires the wearing of other personal protective equipment appropriate to the job task.
