Basic Job Duties (include but not limited to):

• Work safely and efficiently
• Operate multiple types of equipment
• Perform a variety of tasks ( including bend pipe, cap pipe, insulate pipe, coil pipe, box pipe, and assemble boxes)
• Ensure product meets quality standards per specification
• Ensure product meets customer orders

Qualifications needed:

• Able to stand for 8-10 hours and twist as needed
• Must successfully complete pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Able to repeatedly use/twist wrists, fingers, and hands
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail
• Basic Math skills
• Written and Oral communication skills
• Work as a team member

Annealer Loader:

• Load 15' to 60' pipe onto conveyor with crane; verify pipe count; blow out pipe with air hose; manually start conveyor
• Requires crane certification and the ability to count up to 50 lbs.

Discharge Operator:

• Inspect pipe for defects as it exits annealer on conveyor; verify pipe count

Insulation Operator:

• Verify insulation size; manually pull insulation on to pipe; start insulation conveyor via cable until pipe is insulated; manually cut insulation

Coil Operator:

• Pulls insulated pipe onto coiler.
• This job requires a great deal of hand-eye-foot coordination. Operator has to place pipe onto coiler and use foot pedal to activate coiler simultaneously. This is probably the most difficult job within the line sets operation.
• Once pipe is coiled, operator picks up coil (up to 50 lbs. depending on size), takes a few steps and places on conveyor.

Pipe Cleaner:

• Manually puts a foam rubber plug into each piece of pipe one at a time and then uses air hose to blow plug through pipe to ensure cleanness of product. Employee does this with each piece until clean inside.

Bender Operator:

• Bender operator lifts coil from conveyor and places at bender; takes the end of the pipe and puts it in the bending machine. Once completed operator puts coil back on conveyor.
• Position requires good eye hand coordination to place pipe in equipment correctly and to operate safety buttons.

Cap Operator:

• As pipe is coming down on conveyor, Cap operator manually places a plastic cap on both ends of cleaned pipe. This position requires hand dexterity and strength.

Box Operators:

• Lift coil and place in correct box.
• Position requires attention to detail due to variety of sizes.
• Fold lids on individual boxes and hand staple boxes shut; manually push box 5 to 10 feet on smooth concrete (can weigh up to 250lbs.)

Forklift Operator:

• Requires forklift certification
• Inspect boxes for damage
• Verifies product size, weighs box, records information and puts in designated area
• Also supplies all other positions with required product needs

Box Builders:

• Manually fold and glue/staple all boxes; stack in designated area

Crown Coiler Operator:

• Operates a Jib Hoist
• Place roll of pipe on coiler; cut bands from rolls with snips; thread end of pipe into straightening machine; upon completion manually cap ends and place on coiler
• Requires operation of touch screen computer to specify product length
• Requires lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Requires a lot of side to side twisting and walking

Personnel are cross trained on ALL positions within line sets.

ALL personnel is responsible for housekeeping

Personnel are required to wear:

• Long pants
• Long sleeves
• Metatarsal shoes
• Safety glasses
• Hard hats
