This specific role is aligned to the National PPO Group Retiree product. The position will be part of a national team charged with driving STARS improvement among non-par providers.
Additionally, the person selected for this role should have understanding of provider contracting, especially for Medicare, and have knowledge of STARS and incentive programs that UHN has in place to support STAR improvement. Especially helpful is knowledge of Group Retiree products such as NPPO.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
- Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Analyze, report and manage data to support the initiative of the national team
- Work with minimal guidance; seek guidance on only the most complex tasks
- Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues
- Work with the new strategy team to track initiatives, especially HEDIS measures, to improve the quality and affordability of care
- Act as a resource for others with less experience
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with network data management in a managed care environment
- 2+ years exposure to provider contracts
- 2+ years of experience in provider data analysis
- 2+ years of experience working with reporting tools and generating effective reports
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Excel and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous exposure to STARS; experience working with providers to improve STARS ratings
- Network Contracting or Provider Relations experience
- Previous experience working directly with providers
- Experience working on large projects
- 2+ years presentation experience
- Proficiency with MS Access
- 3+ years of experience with claims processing or resolution
- 3+ years of experience with medical coding
- Excellent communication skills
- Undergraduate or higher level degree
