About this job

The Switchboard Operator is responsible for operating the call enter equipment, answering and directing incoming calls, placing long distance calls for staff and patients; assigning patient cellular phones, operating radio base station; and monitoring emergency phones and dispatching all emergency codes.

*** Schedule is: Tues - Thurs, 2:00pm-10:00pm and Fri - Sat, 10:00pm -6:00am***

-Monitor emergency systems.
-Answer/direct all incoming/outgoing calls in a professional and courteous manner.
-Assures the call center service status of patients and staff is current.
-Operate radio base station to coordinate communications.
-Documents of all pertinent and confidential information.
-Assure continuity of Facilities Management mission statement through punctual, regular attendance and reliability.
-Assure the successful operation of the Facilities Management Department.
-Demonstrates an understanding of developmental tasks and special needs for, and the ability to establish rapport with children, adolescents, adults and older adults/geriatrics.
-Complete other duties as requested.
