Key Responsibilities

• Manages local freight and traffic; schedules shipments from warehouse.
• Apply freight charges to orders that require freight charges
• Allocate and ship customer orders by preparing documents and other special paperwork
• Recommends alternate freight strategies to save costs. Works with Inventory Control to optimize warehouse inventory replenishment, considering cost and service. Ensure that warehouse is supplied with proper inventory. Maintains constant communication with Regional Sales Group, Customer Service and Inventory Control to ensure proper inventories and maximum customer service.
• Maintains current knowledge of transportation regulations including DOT and IMDG.
• Ensure that warehouse inventories are maintained in a saleable condition and recorded accurately. Identify and disposition aged and damaged products. Disposition inventories in accordance with CAIR instructions. Institute and manage a program of cycle counting. Report on inventory accuracy as a performance measure.
• Coordinate with Jacobson warehouse manager (3 rd Party Warehouse) on issues related with shipping, receiving, O.T. approvals for orders that have to get handled pas the cut-off times or special projects which require approval and anything related with the PPG account.
• Submit all manual BOL into Descartes system and approve all past and present invoices to ensure they are at a minimum.
• Properly code and pay all warehouse bills and expenses done through Corporate Purchasing Card and invoices submitted to Accounts Payables.
• Maintain inventory of supplies such as cartons, shipping labels, bill of ladings and tint pastes,
• Ensure that tint machine calibrations check are submitted once a week. Maintain HMIS and MSDS documentation for each location.
• Other duties as assigned by Distribution Manager.

Qualifications

Experience and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred but not required. Two to Five years applicable experience in distribution, logistics or manufacturing. Strong computer and analytical skills to manage a variety of computer applications and databases
