About this job

This role will support 24x7 Maintenance operations. Weekend availability as well as the ability to provide on call emergency support will be required.

What is my job:

This position will be responsible for managing store and facilities maintenance activities. Extensive overnight out of state travel is required in this position. Candidates must be available to work in any division, including new markets, for short or long term assignments, based on business needs.


How do I make a difference?

Providing Incredible, Knowledge Based Service
  • Provide feedback on system-wide or store wide design and construction issues
  • Ensure stores have tools needed to respond effectively in emergency situations and provides leadership and direction in these situations
  • Act as a resource for stores with project requests, AR development, etc.


Ensuring High Quality Deliverables
  • Screen contractors for qualifications and establish standard scopes of service for all facilities work; review and approve contractor selections in division for refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, mechanical & plumbing work
  • Manage all store and facilities maintenance activities for efficiency, safety compliancy and cost


Continuously Improving Results
  • Oversee all areas of the division's store maintenance operations, ensure procedures are followed, and equipment is operating correctly
  • Review and approve CIP's (Capital Improvement Plans) for refrigeration, HVAC electrical, mechanical & plumbing work in the Division
  • Develop capital improvement program for facilities work in the Division-communicate to Manager of Store Maintenance and VP of Design and Maintenance
  • Develop budget for facilities cost centers, and review and approve budgets for refrigeration, HVAC and electrical work with manager of Store Maintenance
  • Plan and provide feedback for seasonal programs (landscaping etc.)
  • Work through CIS for evaluating all projects for programs, rearrangements and major program equipment purchases
  • Participate in divisional planning sessions to set department goals, communicate to Manager of Store Maintenance and VP of Design and Maintenance
  • Prioritize work of others based on strategic plan and allocate resources appropriately
  • Provide direction, communication and feedback to others to ensure integrated solutions
  • Build relationships and work across functions to accomplish company goals
  • Keep all projects on schedule, and communicate updates to senior management in division

What skills, learnings, and experiences are required?
  • At least 5 years of commercial maintenance management experience, including familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance best practices
  • Degree in Refrigeration/HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Advanced operational knowledge of refrigeration, electricity and hydraulics, layout and design techniques
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a changing environment
  • Experience working with computers, including a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and able to learn new systems quickly
  • Actively communicate the company vision and values to all and ensure work is completed in line with the organization's priorities and goals (integrates Who We Are & What We Do)

Work environment:
