REM Wisconsin is seeking to hire two Floaters in the Janesville area. A Floater provides teaching and support to individuals in daily living activities to live a happy and safe life. By assisting them with learning skills and behaviors, they are enabled to fulfill their dreams and desires, develop relationships as members of their family, neighborhood and community, and realize quality of life. The floater has the unique opportunity of training with a variety of individuals and on many individualized techniques.

A lot of flexibility is expected as part of the floater position. Floaters are guaranteed 30-40 hours each week unless their availability is such that it is impossible to schedule them for at least 30 hours. The floater schedule varies depending on the hours available and the homes in which that particular floater is trained. You will also be required to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month..

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
