Description

Unique opportunity to take expansive Learning & Development program to the next level. Effect change to well-established Learning Program reaching throughout 36 states with ~28,000 employees.


This role has two focal points: 1) optimizing current Learning & Development programs with regard to innovation, quality, effectiveness 2) partnering with Operations Leaders to ensure a robust Leadership Development program and succession planning.


Partner with both HR and Operations Leaders to develop and implement strategies specifically geared toward Leadership Development and enhancing performance, the overall culture, and work environment.


Learning & Development Programs

  • Direct the planning, development and implementation of training and development initiatives in support of the business goals and objectives of the Network.
  • Direct and conduct instructional analyses and needs assessments.
  • Develop learning strategies and oversee the design of training programs which include various delivery methods such as m-learning, e-learning, teleconference, stand-up, self-study and on-line job aids.
  • Ensure consistent methodology is applied for instructional design, development and evaluation. Remain current on innovations and developments in training and instructional methodologies
  • Work closely with management to understand organizational objectives and to create training initiatives in support of operating group strategies and company goals.
  • Liaise with field management (including Finance, QA, HR, IT, etc.) to identify performance gaps and hot spots. Assess current training and evaluation criteria, and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain and expand the cadre of Network certified trainers (e.g. Hiring for Success, Performance Management, and Introduction to Supervision) by working with HR and field management to identify potential trainers. Assess current field trainers’ abilities to facilitate trainings.
  • Direct and supervise team of L&D staff, including performance evaluations, onboarding, and training. Make decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolve employee problems within position responsibilities
  • Document the link between training investment and improved measurable business outcomes. Ensure newly implemented LMS is accessible by employees and is effectively tracking participation.
  • Lead and support training initiatives across the Network. Deliver site-based and telephone based training, as appropriate and needed.
  • Optimize Corporate Orientation and Onboarding programming; oversee onboarding framework for field offices working in conjunction with HR Operations
  • Document state-specific training that is currently being delivered through HR and Operations. Support standardization initiatives.

Leadership Development

  • Create a leadership development strategy and framework to meet the current and future needs of the organization. Analyze, develop and implement Leadership program at all levels of the organization, including coaching and mentoring programs.
  • Lead and improve the overall Talent Management/ Organizational assessment review program and process. Ensure there is a robust succession plan to identify and develop “High Potentials.”
  • Develop a structured education program for field-based operations leadership.
  • Develop a programmatic and on-the-job first level Manager training.
  • Work to develop team of HR Business Partners, resulting in increased consultative credibility and strategic value.
  • Support best practices in Performance Review process and ongoing feedback and coaching processes across The Network.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Seven to ten years Learning & Development experience required, including minimum of three years of management experience
  • Experience working with professional and leadership development that demonstrates in-depth knowledge of different learning styles and different methods of delivery.
  • Demonstrated success with program management
  • Influencing skills, with an ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent business writing skills with an ability to innovate and deliver creative solutions
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and produce results both as a leader and as a team member
  • Human Capital, Talent Management, and Learning Management systems knowledge a plus
