Enhance and maintain the Optum suite of Health Information Exchange (HIE) applications. Participate as a technical lead on teams that carry out the full lifecycle of software development activities. Play a leading role in setting the architecture and design for our products.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years commercial development experience

  • Thorough understanding of agile software development methodology (Scrum) and industry best practices

  • Thorough understanding of fundamental object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring, debugging, and configuration management

  • Thorough understanding of service oriented architecture (SOA) concepts

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong technical and platform knowledge in all of the following:  Java/JSE/JEE/JSF; SQL; XML/XSL HTTP; SOAP;

 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced degree in a technical field

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Experience with any of the following:  Oracle; Javascript; Spring: Hibernate: JPA/JBoss Application Server; HL7; HTML,:CSS;  AJAX; TCP/IP; LDAP.

  • Experience with web services security: WS-Security, SAML, XACML, SSL/TLS

  • Certification in any of the above mentioned tools and technologies
