Captain Part Time Flexible Hours including weekends & holidays

Position Summary:

  • Directly responsible to the Catering Service/Banquet Manager for the training and performance of all hourly banquet food and beverage servers and is the personal representative of property management to banquet guests.

Experience:

  • Two years or more as a Banquet Captain in a high volume catering facility. Bartending experience a must.

Skills:

  • Effective and clear communication skills
  • Professional and friendly hospitality skills
  • Practice food safe handling procedures
  • Knowledge of wines and alcoholic beverages
  • TIPs certification or other alcohol serves safe certification is required.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Bending and lifting food/ glass trays of up to 50 lbs.
  • Being able to push or pull over 50 lbs.
  • Continually moving at a fast pace
  • Continuous standing for the full shift or 8 hours or more
  • Continuous bending or kneeling
