SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position assists the Nickel production area in development, modification and implementation of process improvements as required to meet safety, quality, regulatory and customer requirements under the direction of the Production Manager. Incumbent will assist with the transfer and implementation from the development group to production of new processes in support of all production departments. The incumbent also supports production areas as required for process troubleshooting, evaluates samples for process feasibility and performs any required analytical testing under the direction of the Production Manager.

TRAINING, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
  • B.S. degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of one year experience in the production arena with the development and scale up of chemical production processes required. Independent judgment in the application of scientific principles pertaining to inorganic chemistry and process development are required.
  • Prior process engineering experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have practical experience in laboratory bench techniques as well as pilot plant or production experience. Interviews will begin soon.
