The
EDI Business Analyst is responsible for implementing various electronic data
flow interfaces along with receiving support calls to troubleshoot any EDI
customer service issues.  Acts as the IT support point of contact for
electronic communication via EDI between the Optum Market and employee benefit
providers.  The qualified candidate will participate in system design and
quality assurance activities.  This position requires a mix of technical
knowledge, data analytical ability, problem solving, clear written and verbal
communication skills, and an understanding of system processes and production
workflows. 

Responsibilities
and Duties:

• Demonstrates
  expertise in implementing and maintaining existing data interfaces
  including ANSI X12 834, FSA, COBRA and similar carrier data feeds


• Design,
  configure and test EDI transactions


• Research
  and resolve data discrepancies from interfaces. Recommends and implements
  corrective actions


• Communicate/coordinate
  with carriers and internal parties related to interface projects


• Works
  closely with project team and to ensure project deliverables are met in an
  efficient and timely manner


• Work
  with internal business units to translate formats to ensure communication
  and facilitate flow of new or existing transactions


• Ability
  to act as a SME for other team members


• Research
  issues related to EDI setup


• Develops
  and documents internal processes


• Communicate/coordinate
  with carriers and internal parties related to interface projects.

Required
Qualifications:

• Associate's
  degree or higher 


• 3+
  years of data systems analysis or data mapping experience.


• Demonstrated
  ability to manage and prioritize deliverables


• 2+ years proficiency
  with Microsoft Excel:  (data sorting and filtering)


• Proven
  organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity


• Excellent
  communication, time/project management, problem solving &
  troubleshooting, organizational, and analytical skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's
  degree
