Description

Summary

Receives, stores, and pulls orders and products within the established guidelines by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Stock all in-bound freight
· Stock rotation (i.e. expiration dates and revisions)
· Pull out-bound LTL and UPS orders
· Load product into trucks
· Stack and wrap pallets
· Operate picker and pallet jack (3 day training required).
· General clean-up of work area
· Work with other employees in a team structured environment
· Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
· Comfortable with heights, as some products are located up to 24 feet high
· Pull orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
· Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
· Counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
· Uses computer to enter records.
· Must be flexible to work overtime at any given notice
· Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
· Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
· Prepares parcels for mailing.
· Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

High school education or GED is preferred; 3-6 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
