The Residence Inn Austin Northwest/Arboretum is looking for an experienced front desk agent to join the team!

We are looking for a service oriented individual who makes guest service their top priority. If you are detail-oriented and passionate about providing award winning service and are able to excel in a fast-paced, results driven environment, than this is the position for you.
Applicants must be willing to work between the hours of 7am and 11pm seven days a week, including holidays. Applicants will also be expected to learn the night audit process as well as cover possible shifts if need be.
Position could lead to a management position based on performance and hotel results. You will be presented with the tools needed to be in a management position and it's up to that individual to use the tools in order to reach the next level.

Requirements / Skills / Knowledge:
~Meets and exceeds customer expectations.
~Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors.
~Attends work on time as scheduled and adheres to attendance policy.
~Maintains and promotes guest hospitality at the front desk at all times.
~Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
~Deals promptly and effectively with guest complaints and requests and takes ownership of the issue until resolution.
~Coaches, counsels and trains the associates to ensure that all work is handled smoothly, distributed evenly and in accordance with published procedures and policies.
~Assures the accuracy and completion of all folios, room changes, credit approvals, etc.
~Promotes teamwork and associate morale.
~Administrative duties include accounting, front office, and housekeeping reports, as well as inventorying and par levels.
~Meets and greets arriving guests ensuring all Front Desk Staff provide an air of gracious hospitality to all guests and customers.
~Has a thorough knowledge of reservation system. Investigates and resolves disputed phone call folios to minimize lost revenue.
~Assists in running pre-shift meetings, and ensures proper grooming standards are met.
~Wears proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance.
~Practices safety standards at all times.
~Capable of moving luggage, packages or furniture weighing up to 40 lbs.
~Adheres to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the associate handbook.
~Performs other duties as assigned.
