Provide leadership in the Floral Department by directing and developing Team Members, ordering perishable products and supplies, and implementing merchandising initiatives, to stimulate the growth of the business while creating and sustaining and exemplary customer service atmosphere to build life long relationships by focusing on understanding and exceeding customer needs.

Requirements

  • Maintain a safe and clean envionment to ensure the safety of Customers and Team Members while exceeding health and OSHA requirements.
  • Provide leadership that exemplifies a Passion for Food.
  • Manage inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering fresh flowers, plants, products and supplies in order to meet the customer requirements.
  • Adhere to action plans provided by the company and utilize creative merchandising to maximize sales.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Schedule Team Members and delegate work assignments effectively.
  • Prepare, maintain and track records concerning inventories and work processses to calculate monthly gross profits according to the company's policies.
  • Control department costs by monitoring and improving operations to increase profitability.
  • Promote continuous development of Team Members and identify candidates for Management Development Process.
  • Responsible for controlling some expense within a department. Amount of Budgetary Responsibility: $1 - $100k
  • Supervision of team members within an area or section of a department.
