An understanding of information security basics is desirable but not required. The position does not require a background in engineering but the candidate must be able to pick up basics of information security.

Internet savvy
Ability to do a thorough research
Ability to learn quickly and thirst for knowledge
Ability to take tasks and projects to completion, with a sense of ownership
