Full-Time. Located in Hilo.
Install cable television services and perform routine drop related troubleshooting in the Hilo system of the Big Island .
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous electronic experience or coursework and customer service experience highly preferred. Successful completion of Qualified Installer Program, General Safety Course, and Pole Climbing Certification to be completed within 90 days of employment. Stable employment history.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Must be familiar with OSHA, FCC, State of Hawaii and TWE regulations and specifications, National Electric Codes related to installation of CATV facilities and equipment. Must have valid driver license and clean driving abstract.
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Able to calculate figures and perform basic arithmetic. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Map reading a must. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
