Amsted RPS is a progressive rail fastening manufacturer located in Atchison, KS. At this time, we are currently seeking applicants for multiple positions to include Press and Clip Operators. Day and evening shifts available.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of steel press manufacturing equipment. Candidates should possess and exhibit a clear understanding in operating mechanical presses, how to clear jams and restart press line, including but not restricted to: feeder bench, combustion furnace, press, quench conveyor, draw furnace, etc., including monitoring of furnace temperature. Candidates must be able to identify correct tools and dies for required production and set into the press tooling, including monitoring die wear and replacement as required to meet production demand. Reading and understanding computer work instructions and test methods relating to press operation is a large part of the requirements in this role.
All candidates must be willing to understand and follow all plant policies concerning safety/emergency, conduct, maintenance, and current procedures designed for the specific department.
Successful candidate will possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education. Other requirements include basic understanding mechanics, strong verbal and written communication skills, and math skills.
