Dolphin Swim Club is a specialized institution that focuses on making children's lives better and safer through swimming lessons with dedicated and caring instructors. We are looking to fill a couple of fun Instructor positions that, with the right candidates, have the potential to become supervisory roles. Applicants must be able to tread water comfortably, as the interview process includes an in-water component. Every new instructor is required to complete a minimum of 35 hours of paid training.
Instructor Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach children of diverse backgrounds, levels, and ages to swim in accordance with the Dolphin Swim Club Curriculum.
Evaluate student performance against the Dolphin Swim Club's nine-level skill system.
Enforce all pool safety regulations while inspiring students to build their water safety skills and self-confidence.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by organizing, setting up, and clearing all wet and dry equipment.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with parents, keeping them abreast of their children's progress.
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:
Familiarity with all competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly) is required. A patient and flexible attitude coupled with a deep appreciation of cultural difference is a must. Other requisites include excellent interpersonal, customer service, team building and time management skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with children and/or proven knowledge of child development.
Hours of Operation:
Sunday 8:15AM-4:30PM
Monday 3:45PM-7:30PM
Tuesday 8:45AM-11:30AM, 3:15PM-8:00PM
Wednesday 8:45AM-10:00AM, 3:45PM-8:00PM
