Ensures materials obtained from suppliers are at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Studies market trends, interviews vendors, and recommends sources of supply. Analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends suppliers, and schedules deliveries.

Position Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Program RIMs. Negotiate promotional pricing and services and research new/existing vendors to assess ability to deliver on new purchase orders.  Ensure internal purchasing needs are met for projects and other areas.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Conducts vendor negotiation for promotional pricing, services, and support for all AHS programs.
  •  Researches new and existing vendors for offerings; requests quotes; analyzes vendor response; selects and implements Service-Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitors the daily operations of Program RIM's; examines current in-house procedures; identifies and implements process improvements.
  •  Trains associates in new procedures; monitors performance and provides performance feedback to DIM.
  • Partners with Help Desk, New Store Staging, and stores to resolve equipment supply issues and transitions to new products.
  • Partners with Install Accounting, Legal, and service providers to resolve monetary and unit issues.
  • Work with internal groups (Operations, Merchandising) to identify, select, and forecast installation sources.

Nature and Scope
.Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct 'customers' of the process.

May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must pass the Drug Test.
  • Must pass the Background Check.
  • Must pass MVR
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.

Education Required

The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications

Certification is required in some areas.

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
