We have a full-time/part-time opening for a R&D Lead.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

As the R&D Lead, you will: Create, maintain and execute the research roadmap Be up to date with latest market and OEM trends Research new technologies, and improvements to existing architectures Make recommendations to management for new product lines Understand roadmaps from key vendors Ensure Tecvox has access to latest industry specifications Develop unique solutions to OEM concerns Obtain buy-in from management for internal roadmap Establish deliverables against roadmap Proof of concepts Oversee initial product testing Demo units Support product benchmarking Support efforts during exhibitions and customer demos Support customer technical meetings/discussions Support sales teams with RFQs/RFIs Oversee schematic and BOM creation Support Technical Design Reviews Oversee patent activity Interact with Engineering for lessons learned, continuous improvements Collaborate with organizations and consortiums and serve on councils that develop and update industry specifications and guidelines. Interface with the MFi work group and other related industry leadersBasic qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters Preferred 5 to 7 years experience Automotive preferred Knowledge of the infotainment and connectivity industry Technologically savvy with Consumer devices (infotainment applications). Expertise in USB Protocol and Design Standards High level of knowledge in Wireless charging protocol, MHL, HDMI, Power DeliveryDesired Qualifications: Experience in architecting system level solutions Electronic design experience Solid Technical Verbal and written communication skills Existing Connections with industry organizations related to infotainment Willing to travel up to 50%Note* This position will be located in Madison, AL
