Job Specific Details:

Patient Fund Responsibilities
- Records and extends each Patient fund transaction; Obtains proper authorization for disbursements.
- Summarizes Patient Funds Transactions Journal.
- Prepares check for reimbursing Patient Petty Cash.
- Prepares check for A/R portion of funds and distributes to A/R bookkeeper.
- Reconciles total account balance to Patient ledger cards.
- Makes payments for Patients and writes checks for Patient shopping upon direction of Patient or guardian.
- Completes interest allocation worksheet.
- Records receipt of social security, pension and personal checks in appropriate Patient's account.
- Verifies ledger balance with transaction records to resolve balance discrepancies.
- Ensures Authorizations and Agreements are on file for all accounts.
- Completes and mails statements as directed by state guidelines, i.e., quarterly reports.
- Closes accounts on discharged deceased Patients in a timely manner.
- Maintains copies of Patient trust fund agreements and other legal documents pertaining to trust accounts, i.e.,
Patient competency forms.
