Responsibilities

Position responsible for providing project management at a regional or local level and accountable for day-to-day project management and handling assignments of lesser scope. Provide management with project status updates, feedback and appropriate reporting on day-to-day activities for regional or local level GRE projects. Observe workflows, understand dependencies and escalate findings to senior management for review and approval of proposed next steps.

Develop and manage the master project schedule and recurring analysis of existing processes to develop continuous improvement recommendations, identification of synergy opportunities and provide associated project descriptions for management consideration.

Act as the primary point of communication for projects assigned.

Establish project plans by creating work plan/schedule, developing due dates, detailed tasks and activities; create budgets, manage project financials and ensure the plan for projects are met according to GRE standards utilizing established project control tools (BIG, Yardi).

Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path; ensure that milestones are being met; and obstacles and issues are identified and brought to the designated team member to ensure that project goals are achieved.

Prepare evaluative feedback on internal resources external consultants and vendors

Maintain processes and established metrics ensuring minimal variation across capital plan, project budget, and actual project cost.

Ensure accuracy of data in GRE systems.

Develops resolution to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity. Analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Receives broad guidance and is accountable for project or program results. Exercises considerable judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Delegates work to lower-banded team members.

 

Qualifications

Advanced skills within a professional discipline and general knowledge of other areas. Requires independent thinking. Demands full use and application of principles, theories, concepts and technologies.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction Management; Master’s degree preferred.

Project Management experience – minimum of 4 years.

Knowledge of facilities design and construction practices.

Able to travel as required.

Mastery in the following areas required: Business Management; Relationship Management skills; Leadership & Organizational skills; Real Estate, Design, and Construction related knowledge; Writing and Presentation skills.

Advanced Knowledge in the following areas: Strategic - Big Picture Thinking, Internal Systems related to project execution, Presentation and Delivery skills, Financial & Other Quantitative/Analytical skills, Technology (tools and applications).

Technical expertise in the following areas required: Leasing Transaction Management, Construction & Project Management, Architectural Design & Principles, Real Estate Property/General Business Operations, Value Engineering Concepts, Microsoft Office, Design and Construction Contract Administration
