Project Manager Intern

We have a opening for a Project Manager Intern.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Under supervision by Project Manager, this position is responsible for providing support to the Project Management group as required. Interns may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the Project Management department. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the work place. Provision of support may extend to other groups and departments as requested. Some of the anticipated projects may go as follows: Prepare and proposal per the specification in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). Follow-up on RFQ once it is issued to the customer to check status. Upon receipt of the purchase order, check for accuracy, review terms & conditions, create top level part number, assign production order number and pass to administrator for booking. Work with drafting department to generate approved drawings per customer specification and shop drawings for fabrication. Work with the customer to keep them updated on progress and anticipated shipping date; prepare shipping papers for final inspection and shipment to the customer job site.
