About this job

Our large retail client in the Seattle area is looking for high-judgment individuals to join them as a Merchant Risk Investigator. They are specifically seeking applicants with Japanese Language skills.

Some of the responsibilities of a Merchant Risk Investigator include:

- Investigate suspicious merchant activity and behavior that could pose a risk.

- Communicate via email and telephone with buyers, merchants, and other external entities to make informed decisions about merchant risk.

- Maintain Policy Guidelines.

- Be aware of and identify new fraud patterns and trends among merchant accounts. Take appropriate action to identify and minimize the risk posed by such trends.

- Participate in other special projects/assignments as necessary

- Achieve weekly productivity and quality standards for investigations.

Basic Qualifications

- BILINGUAL IN JAPANESE

-Demonstrates analytical and problem solving skills, is detail oriented,

- written and verbal communication skills (should be able to write business correspondence without supervision).

- Ability to manage time effectively and independently and prioritize multiple tasks

- The investigation process requires knowledge of the Internet, the use of MS Office and internal toolsets.

- Candidates should be able to communicate with customers, financial institutions, and law enforcement agencies via telephone and e-mail.

- The candidate for this position must be prepared to be flexible with working hours and work Saturdays and/or Sundays

- Contributes a positive team atmosphere, works cooperatively with team members, management and other departments.

- Foreign language skills in German required (both fluency in writing and speaking). Additional language skills a plus!

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in a business operations setting: E-commerce, Banking or Online-Customer Service preferred

- Prior experience in Fraud Investigation, Merchant Protection, or Mortgage Lending a plus
