Manufacturing Technician

Local Technology Company is looking to bring on a Manufacturing Technician to join the team:

Skills
- Performs manufacturing activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment.
- Familiar with safe handling and use of laboratory chemicals including solvents, bases and acids
- Records observations and measurements and reports results.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials and stocking of materials and equipment.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

Job Functions
- Support the manufacture of materials, including preparation, the use and safe handling of hazardous chemicals, and data input and record keeping.
- Use proprietary instruments to collect spectral data at various stages of production.
- Ensure quality control at various stages.
- Provide periodic production or process reports as requested.
- Related tasks as determined in collaboration with management.
- Work under the supervision of shift manager

Education:

Minimum Associate-level degree in science or technology, Bachelor-level degree is preferred

0-4 years in an R&D laboratory setting, including wet chemistry experience
