Summary

This position will report to the Credit Manager and will be responsible for contacting customers regarding their past due balances by phone, fax and/or email. The job may also include taking customer complaints, finding resolution, and trying to detect better ways to obtain payment from the customer. Some clerical and administrative responsibilities such as filing, credit releases, lien releases, credit references, research and approving credit applications and other duties included within the credit department may also be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

* Contacts customers and sales representatives regarding past due balances
* Provides financial, administrative, and clerical services
* Processes credit releases, lien releases, and credit holds
* Obtain credit reference
* Research lien and bond rights
* Reviews and approves new accounts
* Account reconciliation
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Demonstrate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Must have 3 years of commercial collections experience
* Bachelor's degree, but we will accept experience in lieu of education
* Have stellar oral & written communication, organizational, conflict resolution, and follow thru skills.
* Possess great work ethics
* Have strong customer relations skills
* Must be multi-task oriented and detail oriented
* Possess great problem solving capabilities
* SAP experience a plus
* Prior Accounts Receivable experience is preferred
* Ability to work within a team environment
* Heavy equipment, construction, or industrial experience a plus.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree, but we will accept experience in lieu of education
* NACM Certification or higher education in accounting, finance, or economics will be beneficial.
* Knowledge of lien and bond laws for CA, NV, WA, AZ, and UT.
* Experience with SAP is a plus!
