DISH’s Equipment Remanufacturing team ensures the high quality condition of millions of satellite receivers and remote controls.  State-of-the-art facilities in El Paso, TX, Spartanburg, SC, Suwanee, GA and Englewood, CO, use advanced diagnostic tools and automated equipment to test, refurbish and redistribute hardware to customers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Four year degree from an accredited college or technical school

 

SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance/procedure instructions.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Reviews productivity of employees on a daily basis for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and determines workload for team members. 
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Generates reports to identify defect trends and works with production teams to address root cause analysis and proper corrective action.
  • Understands functional and cosmetic criteria and demonstrates ability to clearly discern acceptable/defective product.  Can effectively train inspectors, operators, and supervisors on acceptable functional and cosmetic criteria.
  • Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
