Buyer/Planner - Full-time / Part-time

Below are the responsibilities and qualifications for the purchasing position that we are currently hiring for.

Job Description:

• Procurement of all raw materials and components from assigned suppliers on behalfof the company.
• Procurement of assigned MRO items.
• Process Spot Buy, Purchase Orders, as per the requisition procedure.
• Provide direction and development to suppliers, and release of materials required supporting ongoing production.
• Ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to both vendors and SR managment team.
• Assure that all Logistics Department and TS 16949 Purchasing Procedures are strictly observed.

Needed Skills/ Preferences

• Understanding of Automotive supplier expectations and requirements.
• Understanding of construction and use of a single level vs.multi level Bill of Material.
• Knowledge of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.
• Completion of the Purchasing Management of Canada (PMAC) course entitled "Principles of Buying", or APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management is required.
