Job Summary:

Independently perform routine testing of process validation samples, raw materials, finished products, stability samples, and IPT samples, while adhering to SOPs and GLPs, and working in a cGMP compliant environment. Analyze and interpret results in written and oral format. Participate in the training and guidance of less experienced employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine tests of raw materials/finished products/stability samples/ IPT /PV samples including dissolution, assays, impurities, content uniformity, particle size distribution, density, water determination by KF, preparation and standardization of solutions, and tests according to the monographs/LIMS Procedures and USP, working independently. Follow all SOPs and Safety Guidelines to ensure compliance with a cGMP environment and Client Safety Practices.
  • Maintain accurate lab LIMS and complete all related analytical reports, in compliance with SOPs.
  • Ensure notebooks are reviewed in a timely manner, in accordance with SOPs.
  • Analyze and interpret results in written and oral format in consultation with supervisor/project leaders.
  • Review of analytical data of laboratory associates.
  • Perform troubleshooting of day to day laboratory issues, in consultation with supervisor/project leaders.
  • Train and provide guidance and feedback to other Scientists in the Quality Control department.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the laboratory area for the workgroup, to ensure cleanliness and organization on an ongoing basis.
  • Audit log books for compliance on a quarterly basis.

Education and or Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or related scientific field OR 5+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Office Suite Word Processing software.
