About this job
* Will be working with C and C++ as a lead SW Engineer working with creating an RFP and scope of work for major customer
* Will be lead engineer who is communicating and as project lead to design and design full SOW for project.
* Capture the software requirements from RFP, contract and other documents
* Act as the interface between Program Management and Software Engineering
* 75% of the time will be doing development and 25% will be working with RFP
* Will be working within a Linux OS with 90% of the design done in C and 10% done in C++
* Conduct internal meetings to get everyone on the same page for the project scope
* Travel to customer site for kick-off, requirements gathering and other meetings
* Establish processes for smartcard specifications and ordering. Work Environment: Qualifications: Requirements
* Must have a bachelor's degree or related field with 5+ years of experience.
* Must have experience in both design and running points on projects as SR SW Engineer
* Must have both C and C++ experience with embedded systems
* Looking for someone who has SmartCard, Credit Card Technology, Magnetic Strip Technology, RFID… but not 100% required if good embedded and project management
* Important to have ability to run point with customers and work well within a team AS WELL as do the development
* IF candidate has Micrium would be a perfect fit.
