About this job

Job Description:

  • Prepare a complete estimate for selected projects with a detailed review of plans, specifications and bid form
  • Plan and organize a project
  • Negotiate & resolve all issues (i.e. related to Change Orders, Requests for Information, Contract Scope of Work, Risks, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Maintain rapport with architects, engineers, and general contractors to ensure customer satisfaction, quality of service and long-term relations
  • Develop and maintain a network of professional relationships within the industry
  • Attend/participate in project meetings and conference calls
  • Identify, negotiate and administer fees for legitimate additional services
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client
  • Manage all closeout procedures including: Documentation, filing, record drawings, construction cost database input, follow-up marketing and team debriefing
  • Provide coaching and counseling to Foreman on a daily basis to ensure each projects success

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years project management experience with a heavy emphasis on estimating and knowledge of construction
  • Must have previous commercial electric experience
  • Ability to manage/run multiple projects as required
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Must possess a firm knowledge and be fluent in estimating
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Must be committed to working in a good team atmosphere and be a team player
