Sr Analyst-Business Operations - Full-time / Part-time

Responsibilities

As an Analyst, Business Operations, you would be primarily responsible for quantitative analysis and decision support on a broad range of product lifecycle and financial governance. You will be responsible for extracting information and insights from data sources and designing and leading development of reporting solutions. In addition, the candidate will be tasked with managing technical projects both internally and with external partners, supporting the product lifecycle and finance managers. The incumbent will work on both an operational and project-by-project basis with people across all of the Verizon businesses as well as with external partners - with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Product and New Business Innovation Team. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, prioritize workload effectively, influence internal and external teams, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This individual must be self-motivated and work well under pressure to meet deadlines within short time constraints.

• Learn and understand a broad range of Verizon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
• Collaborate with finance and product management team as a leader of quantitative analysis.
• Create and design the reports and metrics for tracking business and product success
• Work closely with business owners to understand business challenges and provide data/analysis for better decision making
• Perform and assist other BAs in performing in-depth analysis and identification of the root cause of key business issues
• Use creativity to develop new ways to present information (both contextual and data) incorporating graphics, charts, tables and clip art that enhances the message while not being distracting
• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reporting for the New Product Development organization
• Interpret and report key metrics associated with wireless and wireline products while ensuring the consistency and integrity of those metrics.
• Work with cross functional subject matter experts to validate content
• Provide written narratives describing current performance, trends and projections.

Qualifications

• Intensely curious and driven to learn
• BS in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics)
• CRM data analysis, data mining, business intelligence, predictive modeling
• Some programming experience in any language and a desire to master SQL.
• Familiarity with common graphic design platforms and a desire to enhance the graphical representation of data is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience deriving actionable insight from data
• Ability to present data in a story form and deliver findings to the team
• Ability to present finding in a concise and graphically pleasing manner.
• Comfortable working in an international, fast-paced, challenging and stimulating organization
• Ability to juggle projects across multiple marketing / product channels
• Aptitude to work outside of your comfort zone and get things done quickly
• Ideal candidate will be comfortable with large volumes of complex data and presenting the findings to senior management.
• Analytical mindset and ability to see the big picture and persuade others to see the same
