A heavy manufacturing company is looking for a mechanical engineer with experience with process improvment in a manufacting facility.

MUST HAVES
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
- 5-10 years experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude- maintenance, repairing machines, getting his/ her hands dirty on the floor (VERY HANDS ON, NOT A DESK JOB)
- Mechanical Design aptitude (AutoCAD- familiarity)
- Heavy industrial/ manufacturing background

* Planning, organizing, and executing continuous improvement projects from the conceptual stage through commissioning.
* Developing and integrating continuous improvement into the site culture and daily activities.
* Working in partnership with cross functional teams to identify projects that support business initiatives and future business models.
* Managing the reengineering of existing business processes to improve efficiency.
* Analyzing current processes through value stream mapping, flowcharting, and visual tools.
* Establishing, monitoring, and measuring process metrics and goals, and impact on overall performance.
* Developing action plans to translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives.
* Standardizing and optimizing new and existing processes.
* Establishing best practices to optimize process control.
* Using various change management strategies to overcome organizational roadblocks to achieve desired change levels.
* Applying techniques that support and sustain employee enthusiasm and implementing strategies that enable parties with opposing outlooks to recognize common goals and work together to achieve them.
* Making presentations to senior level management representing project objectives, scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
* Performing other duties as required, such as providing the setup parameters of equipment, overseeing the set-up of equipment with the Shift Production Supervisors.
* Administers company policies and enforces safety / environmental regulations.
