We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Logistics Manager.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements



Logistic Supervisor:

Oversees the following areas to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient logistics operation in compliance with Accounting standards:

Delivery:
Import and export, railcar transportation

Packaging:
Boxes, pallets

Storage:
Bulk terminal, warehouse, compounds, rail yard

Evaluates and strategically selects truck carriers to optimize services and costs for deliveries

Negotiates warehouse costs for finished goods to optimize service and expenses

Issues internal or supplier corrective action requests to analyze and resolve issues for BOL, on time delivery and quality service and monitors and follows up on them until closure to achieve customer satisfaction

Studies IT tools available in the market to streamline current logistics process

Reviews the Master Stock Plan on a quarterly basis to optimize warehouses, bulk terminals and rail storage

Supervises the Logistics Service Representatives for non-standard activities and routines

Supports project efforts including cost analysis and trend analysis for quality and costs

Develops and recommends annual budget for SPNA logistics department and monitors expenses against the budget

Organizes, leads, and reports results of year end physical inventory

Bachelors degree preferred with emphasis in business administration, economics, and/or engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience

10 or more years of logistics control experience in a manufacturing environment

minimum of 5 years in leadership role

Problem solving skill

Strong knowledge of Inventory control and Financial audit

Ability to coordinate rail car, bulk truck, and truck delivery

Ability to manage and develop vendors

Strong communication skills and team building skills

Job may be performed while sitting or standing.

Some occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, moving parts,

dust and fumes.

This position requires some flexibility in working hours.
