A successful Digital Marketing Analyst will have the following:

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task, the drive to achieve rapid business growth, and the vision to continually optimize processes.  Candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit with an understanding of how his or her efforts impact the larger business.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience focused on Digital Marketing.  Significant hands on experience during this period using web analytics tools such as Webtrends, Google Analytics, or Omniture.
  • Advanced technical aptitude including the ability to write SQL queries, database design, code, leverage Excel pivot tables, Tableau, and use other reporting tools. 
  • Passion for leveraging data coupled with ability to see the overall strategic picture.  Must be interested in uncovering what makes the customer tick and translating data into actionable consumer insights.

Seeking a business-minded Digital Marketing Analyst to help evolve our daily reporting, optimization efforts, and analytical acumen.  Over time will take incrementally greater ownership over our performance dashboards across web, email, and social media channels.  Partner with members of the Digital Marketing team to provide actionable insights and recommendations that directly impact our Digital Marketing strategy.  Work cross-functionality to look for ways to automate business processes, leverage best practices, and develop new analytic capabilities.

 

Primary responsibilities for the Digital Marketing Analyst will be:

  • Provide daily reporting on Digital Marketing health by tracking key performance indicators.  Conduct deeper analysis where KPIs underperform or over perform vs. expectations.  Be able to differentiate data quality issues vs. external market factors that may impact channel performance.
  • Track onsite creative performance and provide feedback to Digital Marketing team to improve onsite advertising strategy.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing team on optimization initiatives to improve core elements of website: conversion path, navigation, customer experience, content, etc.
  • Over time inherit responsibility in social media analytics, email campaign management, and email reporting.
  • Identify ways to improve our internal analytical processes through data integration and automation.  Fine tune processes to improve the efficiency and data quality of reporting.
  • Provide support for ad hoc web analytics or other Digital Marketing data requests by team members.
