The Pharmaceutical Reimbursement Specialist supports and validates Provider Network
(physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, ancillary facilities, etc.) contracting and
unit cost management activities through financial and network pricing modeling,
analysis, and reporting. Senor Network Pricing Analysts conduct unit cost and
contract valuation analysis in support of network contracting negotiations and
unit cost management strategies. Responsibilities also include managing unit
cost budgets, target setting, performance reporting, and associated financial
models.
 



Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements.
  • Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
  • Solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses.
  • Work
    with minimal guidance; seek guidance on only the most complex tasks.
  • Translate concepts into practice.
  • Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues.
  • Coach, provide feedback, and guide others.
  • Act
    as a resource for others with less experience.
     
  • Intermediate reporting and analytic ability along
    with external communication skills.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years Financial modeling or analytical experience
  • 1+ years hands-on intermediate experience with Excel
  • Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma/GED plus 3+ years equivalent experience 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Project management experience
  • Health plan experience in claims, contracting, or reimbursement
  • experience in physician reimbursement policy payment and coding methodologies, including CMS
  • Experience with clinical editing tools in support of physician reimbursement policy
