Warehouse Supervisor- 2nd shift - Full-time

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor for our Sterile Procedure Trays Division located in Waukegan, IL. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for every aspect of day-to-day operations within picking module.

The challenging responsibilities of the position include:

• Administer and oversee the daily operation of the warehouse for their specific area assigned including receiving, picking, and inventory control.
• Work with Leads to ensure information reported into Pro-Track is accurate and consistent with procedures and policies as developed by production and engineering. Review Pro-Track data and work with Warehouse Manager to develop bonus and corrective actions for all warehouse employees on standard.Supervisor for receiving oversees receipt of over 500 lines/day across multiple warehouse locations and multiple shifts. Ensures all receiving personal follow standard Medline operating procedures and policies.
• Supervisor for picking oversees a staff of 10 to 16 pickers per shift picking from warehouse of about 25,000 SKUs. Ensures all receiving personal follow standard Medline operating procedures and policies.
• Ensures all receiving personal follow standard Medline operating procedures and policies.
• Coach and mentor team members in the areas of productivity, quality, safety and Medline Core Values. Helping their staff develop Simple Kaizen ideas driven from a culture of continuous improvement.
• Assist the warehouse manager in maintaining a safe work environment for all team members.
• Lead day-to-day activities of employees. Assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of work, directs efforts and provides technical guidance on more complex issues. Provide input into hiring, firing and performance reviews.
• Work with internal customers including Production Control, Process Engineering, Quality, Production as well as Corporate Operation groups to resolve warehouse related issues.

Qualification

The required skills for this position are:

- 4 year college degree, relevant experience accepted in lieu of education. 5-7 years supervisory experience.
- Candidate must have a high sense of urgency and customer service.
- Ability to effectively speak before groups of team members and customers of Medline.
- Have the ability to multi task in a fast pace work environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in fluent English. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

- Proficient in arithmetic.
- Must be a team player and will need an excellent work ethic.
- Must be a self-starter with exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

- Move product, supplies, and boxes up to and over 50 lbs.

- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity-near and far, depth perception, field of vision, color vision.
