QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSJOB SUMMARY:This position is responsible for staging incoming and outgoing materials for shipment and managing the applicable documents for this process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:•Removing shipped materials from delivery vehicles and moves to designated storage area. Incoming shipments will include products, parts, or raw materials. •Examines receiving documents for storage destination. Pulls stored materials for orders and moves to production or shipping area. •Documents information relating to receipt, storage, or distribution of materials. •May/ will operate a forklift for moving or stacking materialsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties in Central Stores Area:•Unload, load, check-in and put away Raw Materials•Pull daily pick sheets and emergency orders•When complete see Team Leader for additional tasksDuties in the Export Area:•Assist General Technician with containers•Load, setup, crate, pull, stage and prepare materials for shipment •Disposition Export Staging Area of incoming materials, check in Central Stores materials •Pull warehouse orders; Tooling, Records, Film, BPI•When complete, see Team Leader for additional tasks•Consistently demonstrates Alcoa Values•Complies with all of Alcoa policies/procedures•Complies with all EHS rules required for the plant •Responsible to unload, check-in and put away materials•Responsible to prepare materials for shipment: pull, stage and load, as applicable•Assist General Technician in Export duties, as required•Comply with EHS safety in the department, maintaining a clean work environment and perform 5S activities as required.•Maintain Hazmat Certification•Performs routine special projects, as directed.•Participates in Continuous Improvement programs•Assists, when required, with other departmental/backup duties •Performs other work related duties as assigned•Work overtime, as needed.JOB SPECIFICIATIONS:1)Education:A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.2)Skills and Abilities:•Individual must have the ability to read and interpret written instructions. They must be able to follow verbal directions and instructions.•This job requires the ability to operate various pieces of mobile equipment, operation and knowledge of various hand power tools, lifting, and the operation of hoists•Basic reading and math skills3)Experience: Previous warehouse / forklift experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.4)Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Employee is required to execute the following:•Occasional bending, reaching, pushing and pulling when retrieving and moving various items•Good manual dexterity to operate computer equipment.•Orally communicating over telephone equipment when interacting with customers, suppliers, and other Company personnel.•Position is an hourly position and therefore could work more than eight hours daily and more than five days weekly to complete work assignments.•Sitting in chairs (swivel, padded, and adjustable) for long periods while performing his/ her duties.•Squatting / crouching when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, making equipment adjustments, performing freight inspections, etc.•Driving of a motor vehicle for travel purposes.•Visual requirements for this position are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.•Walking within the total floor space of the plant to perform liaison and other work-related tasks. 5)Equipment Used:•Fork Lift•Table Saw•Banding Equipment •Radial Arm Saw •General Office Equipment6)Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The duties of this position are performed throughout the entire floor space of HLS/HTSI. Duties are performed primarily in warehouse areas where compliance with applicable safety rules is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is moderate.
