The Senior Accountant will primarily be responsible for maintaining the PeopleSoft Corporate and Store asset management system. In addition, the job will require review of departmental general ledger and operating statements, general ledger journal entry posting, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of various management financial reports for Corporate Accounting, CRES, Legal and HR departments. This position reports to Director of Finance, Business Partner and interacts directly with various levels of Corporate Accounting, CRES, Legal, HR and store staff and management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain PeopleSoft Corporate and Store asset management system
  • Review monthly departmental general ledger and operating results and record appropriate accrual and reclassification journal entries
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the CRES, HR and Legal departments
  • Prepare monthly intercompany journal entries 5. Review and code CRES department invoices
  • Prepare monthly PeopleSoft asset management reports
  • Prepare quarterly and annual audit schedules and work papers for external auditors
  • Assist in preparation of monthly departmental operating reports
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly forecasting and budgeting reports
  • Effectively communicate with Corporate, Region and Store management and staff at various levels.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Must meet company’s requirements for employment
  • Four (4) year degree in accounting
  • Four (4) years experience in accounting
  • Experience with asset management accounting
  • Experience with general ledger accounting systems, such as PeopleSoft
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PeopleSoft experience
  • MS Access experience
