The
Compliance Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing
new health insurance product filings, and ensuring all products are approved on
a timely basis in order to meet the company's aggressive marketing
schedule.  The Compliance Analyst is also
responsible for ensuring company products and practices are in compliance with
applicable state and federal laws and regulations.  


Primary Responsibilities:



 




  • Research, interpret, and
    summarize laws relating to Accident and Health Insurance.

  • Assist in analyzing and
    determining what impact changes to products or laws will have on the
    company and how the company administers business.

  • Communicate implementation of new
    laws and regulations to applicable departments of the company.

  • Work closely with sales,
    underwriting, and policy services personnel to develop and implement new
    products and insurance contract language.

  • File health insurance products
    for approval by state insurance departments using SERFF.

  • Monitor existing products to
    ensure compliance with new laws and regulations.

  • Develop and file amendatory
    endorsements to bring existing products into compliance.

  • Review and approve advertising
    material to ensure compliance with all state insurance regulations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of compliance experience filing Accident and Health policies with a strong knowledge of insurance laws and regulations
  • Experience working with insurance contracts; ability to read and interpret policy language.
  • SERFF filing experience.
  • Computer experience in a windows-based PC environment, with the ability to create and edit correspondence in MS Word and the ability to create and edit spreadsheets in MS Excel.
