The Machine Shop located on site at Shelco Foundry, a division of Gnutti Carlo USA is seeking an Engineering Manager for The Machine Shop at Shelco in Jacksonville, Alabama.
Summary:
Manage and coordinate the work of engineering staff placing particular emphasis on process development and standardize cost estimating efforts with the objective of streamlining production lines to increase/expand capacity. Supervise day-to-day engineering functions.
Responsibilities Include:
* Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods - including but not limited to CNC mills, lathes, automation, assembly, press, (raw material castings & forgings).
* Maintain records and reporting system for coordination and evaluation of product performance vs. estimates in order to evaluate variances.
* Act as liaison with engineering personnel, equipment suppliers, raw material suppliers and customers in releasing new products into production.
* Responsible for the direction, coordination and evaluation of engineering personnel. Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety and applicable laws.
* Provide ongoing training to applicable staff to develop and encourage their technical and operational performance. Meet with appropriate staff on a timely basis for performance evaluations and goal setting.
* Display effective leadership as the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or related Engineering field or equivalent experience.
* Comprehensive manufacturing engineering experiences, including standard developments, equipment justifications, plant layouts and facilities design in manufacturing industries.
* Knowledge of manufacturing standards ISO, TS, PPAP, FMEA, SOP, project management tools and techniques.
