Software Automation Test Engineer Job

Automation Test Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Salem, VA

The Big Picture - Top Skills Should You Possess:

- Three to five (3-5) years of C# experience
- Develop automation testing
- BDD or TDD

What You'll Be Doing:

- Software team designs and develops embedded firmware that controls the most critical parts of a power plant, manufacturing of process plant. Release cycles are ongoing, typically twice a year. These releases are massive in scope and are shipped to plants via DVD's to upgrade. They also are involved in the testing of these systems.
- Responsible for developing the test code to automate validation systems. The project will be to develop automated tests for several I / O Pack products that currently have no automated testing.
- Use BDD Behavior Driven Development to develop and implement the test. The regression system is written in C#, runs in Windows, and communicates with the embedded system under test.
- Will also be testing for industrial controllers, I / O devices and power conversion products. These products also include turbine and distributed control systems (DCS) controllers, intelligent distributed I / O modules, communications gateways and advanced special purpose monitoring modules.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Computer science or engineering background with C# three to five (3-5) years, experience in automated validation, and preferably experience in requirements driven development.
- Experience in testing embedded products
- Product Validation - Developed Automation Testing for Products
- Developed automated tests that cover test scenarios
- Developed Failure Mode Tree and Test Plans
- Familiar with QNX Development Environment
- Familiar with developing tests using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or Testing Driven Development (TDD). This is a new concept where the test is written prior to the code to come up with the expected behavior first

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- C++ - three to five (3-5) years of experience
- VxWorks, PSOS
- Agile Environment
