Lifeguard

This is a seasonal waterfront lifeguarding position (experience guarding at a beach is preferred but not necessary). The beach is located at a private club on Lake George in Diamond Point, NY so extreme professionalism is paramount. Experience teaching swim lessons to children of all ages would be a plus but is not required. Lunch would be provided by the club daily at no cost.

Responsibilities:
.Effectively monitor the beach area to prevent injuries and provide care as necessary.
.Examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training, medical supplies and equipment.
.Contact emergency medical personnel in case of serious injury.
.Rescue distressed persons, using American Red Cross rescue techniques and equipment.
.Maintain sanitary conditions and organization of the beach
.Perform other work as assigned by management or supervisors to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility.

Qualifications:
Must have an American Red Cross Lifeguard, Waterfront, CPR and AED certification.
