The Bilingual (Spanish/English) Inside Sales Representatives drive sales/enrollments through effective handling of all telephone inquiries from prospects & members interested in the UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions, with the intent of enrolling consumers in optimal plan(s)/product(s).

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Convert inbound calls to sales
  • Initiate outbound calls to qualified leads and participate in special campaign initiatives- no cold calling!
  • Participate in inbound, outbound, or special projects/campaigns to support year round sales needs - flexibility and the ability to adapt to change are essential
  • Use knowledge of Medicare product portfolio to accurately assess the distinct needs of different prospects, explain the differences between various products, and assist the prospect member in selecting a product that best meets their unique needs
  • Assist the prospect in completion of the enrollment application over the phone with complete, accurate and required information, consistent with Medicare requirements and enrollment guidelines 
  • Meet and maintain requirements for agent licensure, appointments and annual product certification

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • Spanish/English Bilingual Required
  • Minimum 6 months strong, proven sales experience over the phone or face to face, AND/OR a college degree
  • Must have, or be able to obtain within 14 days, all appropriate state licenses
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including ability to learn new and complex computer systems and apply for phone and off phone activity
  • Demonstrate consultative selling skills
  • Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation 9 am to 9 pm local time, where lunches and breaks are scheduled, with the flexibility to adjust daily schedule, and work over-time and/or weekends, as needed
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • All new hires will be required to successful complete the Unitedhealthcare certification exams necessary to be qualified to sell Medicare products
  • Experience in a team or call center environment preferred


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, long periods of close vision looking at a computer monitor.
  • Call center environment with moderate noise level due to Advisors talking, computers, printers, floor activity.
