You would support information security policies, standards and procedures to secure and protect data residing on systems. Work directly with user departments to implement procedures and systems for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or privileged electronic data. Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed. Works with less structured, more complex issues. Serves as a resource to others.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Processing of Requests
  • Service Restoration
  • Support of Entitlement Reviews and remediation of exceptions
  • Participation in Quality Reviews
  • Understand and enforce General Computing Controls
  • Communicate with end users through multiple intake requests systems
  • Develop and maintain procedure documentation
  • Identify security administration deficiencies, recommend improvements, and assist to implement corrective action
  • Execution of month end reporting
  • Secondary On-call responsibilities when assigned
  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Serves as a resource to others 
Will perform in a Security Operations Center analyst role, on a second, third or weekend shift.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or HS diploma/GED with 4+ equivalent experience in Security field
  • 2+ years of IT security experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office for Data Analysis
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF86 . 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using enterprise SIEM technologies a plus
  • CISSP or other security certifications highly desired
  • Experience with case management or incident management products and procedures
  • Technical knowledge of networking, security controls (IPS, Firewall, FireEye, etc) and information security concepts.
  • Knowledge of trouble isolation, log analysis, event correlation, and data analysis

As
a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this
position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication
following submission of Department of Defense form SF86 ,
(the National Agency Check or “NAC”). 
Successful completion of the NAC process is a requirement for continued
employment in this role.  NAC processing
will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer, and can take 3-6
months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense.  Candidates will be allowed to begin
employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance,
and final results will be communicated as they are received.  Failure to obtain final NAC approval will
result in termination from this role.
