The Regional Store Systems Trainer is responsible for coordinating training for the Front End, Receivers, and Scan Coordinators for the designated Division. This position will select, train, and develop a team of subject matter experts in each region to provide ongoing training for the Front End, Receiver, and Scan positions. This position will work with the Senior NSO Trainer to develop training materials and programs for the three areas. This position will report to the Regional Vice President and Senior NSO Trainer. 

 

Essential Functions

-       Works with Senior NSO Trainer to create, plan, organize and training materials for scanning/receiving/front end

-       Coordinates with the Regional Manager team to select subject matter experts in Front End, Receiving, and Scan

-       Provides ongoing training and development to the subject matter team through on-site trainings, weekly updates, and monthly conference calls

-       Works with Store and Regional Managers to coordinate a training schedule and plan for newly hired/promoted 4th Managers, Receivers, and Scan Coordinators

-       Monitor and evaluate training activities and program effectiveness

-       Evaluates competency of scanning/receiving/front end new hires and works with Store Managers to create action plans for deficient areas

-       Reviews RMOC and Oversight Audits and coordinates additional training for stores when necessary

-       Assists with training and support for scanning/receiving/front end teams at store grand openings in the region when needed

-       Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

-       High School diploma or equivalent; preferred Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years combined experience with POS, scanning and receiving systems in grocery retail

-       Minimum two (2) years of management experience

-       Skilled in adult learning concepts with ability to deliver effective and relevant training

-       Experience in training materials and program development

-       Willing/able to travel up to 75 % of year

-       Knowledge and experience with pricing, receiving/inventory management, and POS systems such as: DMA, Access Via, Web Design Shop, and ISS45; or other related programs

-       Must be able to adapt to new software

-       Strong background in staff training and development

-       Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

  • Mobile, able to stand up to 12 hours per day
  • Fit and able to travel out of state on a consistent basis
  • Able to lift boxes/equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record
