Aerotek is currently parterning with a global leader in Manufacturing. They are looking to add a Mechancical Design Engineer to one of their HVAC teams. The position will use multiple skills to design and develop heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to meet the requirements for diverse applications. The focus of the position will be new product and system development for HVAC. This position will enable building strong relationships with various stakeholders and clients.
Job Description:
1. Provide project design leadership for engineering projects specific to HVAC systems used on construction equipment.
2. Lead design and project gates reviews specific to the related HVAC NPI process.
3. Develop design concepts, project plans, DFMEA's and other key activities related to the design NPI process.
4. Provide frequent communication and updates regarding program status. In some instances formal presentations will be required.
5.Frequent collaboration with suppliers and/or other Caterpillar engineering team members, as related to NPI projects.
Qualifications:
1. BSME or MSME , preferably with a focus on heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermal dynamics, etc.
2. Pro/E 3D design experience/capabilities (could be from internship or class project)
3. Knowledge and experience designing HVAC systems would be highly preferable
4. Excellent communication skills, project managmenet capabilities, go getter mentality.
